Praying unceasingly in the midst of crisis
For most of us who believe in God and the power of prayers,
the act of praying or meditating especially when everything is so hopeless has
a calming effect that make us just let go and believe that God will help and
guide us and never forsake us.
I believe in prayers so much, it never fails to strengthen
me, to uplift me whenever I feel down, bored and worried. It just gives me that
peace of mind and contentment when everything seems to be going nowhere and
nothing but prayers accompanied by faith and belief saves me from being restless
to being peaceful.
I always say this at the end of my prayers “ not my will Father but your will be done, Amen” and I will lift it to our Almighty God and believing with all my heart that what I prayed for will be answered.

How do we pray? We all have different ways on how we say our
prayers. When prayers are said deeply and sincerely and done intensely
communicating the deepest desires of our hearts to God, believing, trusting and
never doubting, whatever it is that we ask for will be given to us according to
his will.
The magnificent power of prayer has been tested so many
times over. There’s no doubt for sure it happened to you, and to many people for
that matter, in so many ways.
A very good example would be our Lord Jesus Christ.
He spent long hours of praying, he did it with all his heart asking God’s help and guidance and definitely that was one of the reasons why he was able to perform many miracles. All of which were attributed to his faith and belief that praying is very beneficial. It assures us that we can depend on it anytime, we just have to continually believe and never ceased praying.

“ And it was at this time that he went off to the mountain to pray and he spent the whole night in prayer to God” Luke 6:12".

Now we are in the midst of chaos, not only for what is
happening in general in the whole wide world but especially now that we are hit
by the strongest storm ever to strike our planet specifically the Philippines. She is known as Haiyan.(http://edition.cnn.com/video/data/2.0/video/world/2013/11/07/sot-typhoon-haiyan-philippines-chad-myers-12p.cnn.html)
but named in my homeland Yolanda.
She wreaked havoc, massive rain and intense
wind especially in the southern part of the country. (http://edition.cnn.com/2013/11/08/world/asia/philippines-typhoon-haiyan/index.html?sr=fb110813tyhpoonhaiyan830a) At the time of writing, there
were already a lot of houses and buildings damaged, massive flooding and a few deaths reported. My heart goes
to all the people who are affected by this devastating calamity and I am certain you are
too.
For now I can only do one thing and all of us can and that
is to utter prayers without ceasing and believing that God with his love and mercy
will save us and never forsake us.
Let's do it with all our hearts and with our eyes closed, letting ourselves feel a close union with GOD that He protects us especially in these difficult times.
“Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, in everything give thanks for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus" 1Thessalonians 5:16-18"Let us all join forces. Let us all pray.
Let's do it with all our hearts and with our eyes closed, letting ourselves feel a close union with GOD that He protects us especially in these difficult times.
